SWOT Analysis of Existing Report Development Projects

SWOT Analysis is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project or in a business venture. It involves specifying the objective of the business venture or project and identifying the internal and external factors that are favorable and unfavorable to achieving that objective.

Orienting SWOTs to an Objective

A SWOT analysis must first start with defining a desired end state or objective. A SWOT analysis may be incorporated into the strategic planning model. Strategic Planning, including SWOT analysis, has been the subject of much research.

  • Strengths: attributes of the organization that are helpful to achieving the objective.
  • Weaknesses: attributes of the organization that are harmful to achieving the objective.
  • Opportunities: external conditions that are helpful to achieving the objective.
  • Threats: external conditions that could do damage to the business's performance.

DPS Sporting Club Development Company, LLC, is set up to provide an efficient format for SWOT analysis for a wide spectrum of development types. Each projected SWOT opportunity is individually analyzed based on their specific needs and objectives. We offer the following sets of parameters as a starting point for conversations about Scope of Services for SWOT analysis;

Five-Day Panel:

Five-day panels, fully engage the Client and his/ her staff, for a full week on-site to explore and respond to your assignment. Five-day panels offer the most in-depth look at your project and feature a full-day of confidential interviews with stakeholders and community leaders. Five-day panels usually conclude with a well-attended public presentation.

Three-Day Panel:

Three-day panels offer a more detailed look at a specific issue. On three-day panels, 4-5 DPS Management Staff provide you with recommendations as you begin to form strategies for addressing difficult land use issues. This "SWOT team" approach will help you focus in on the critical decisions that need to be made and formulate some key action items for you to implement.

One-and-a-Half-Day Panel:

One-and-a-half-day panels offers advice on a very specific land use challenge. A team of 2-3 DPS Management staff visit your site and make recommendations on a specific development project or land use policy.

Project Analysis Session:

Project analysis sessions offer a half-day "over-the-shoulder" look at your project. A team of four or five DPS Staff spend time with you reviewing your project and providing feedback on specific issues related to your plans. Project Analysis Sessions often help to define assignments for subsequent three or five day panels.
